This powerful fusion of Western and Eastern traditions adds spectacle and emotional intensity to the fights.
Kickboxing directions:
Before the first lesson, it is important for beginners to choose the direction of this martial art. There are several sections depending on the interaction with the opponent and the level of difficulty:
- Solo compositions: Simulating a fight with an opponent to music. The athlete performs exercises with and without weapons, demonstrating their skills.
- Semi-contact: In fights with limited contact, strong blows are prohibited. Opponents deliver pinpoint blows, after which the fight is stopped for evaluation and scoring. The winner is the one who scores more points. This direction is preferable for beginners.
- Light-contact: In this variation, powerful blows are prohibited. Points are awarded for technique and accuracy of blows without stopping the fight, with an emphasis on leg attacks.
- Full-contact: Full-contact fights with no restrictions on the strength of blows. Interaction takes place at any distance, leg attacks are carried out above the waist. The winner is determined by points or knockout. This is the most common type of kickboxing.
- Full contact with low kick: A variation that allows kicks to the thighs.
- K-1: A hard style that adds knee strikes.
